Steve, remove all the pad maps from your baseq3 & then re-downlod the map pack from Jman's link DOWNLOADS PAGE

Q: Is it only Padmaps that do this? Do any other maps make Q3 try & download?

I reinstalled quake III tonight and installed a fresh download of padmaps...


so far it's just the padmaps that download...we only have a few extra maps
