Why have game reviews become worthless?
For years I have combated poor reviews on great games, but recently game reviews have become worse.

For instance Half Life 2, beautiful game high ratings. Reviewers are now pulling their previous reviews saying the game is trash because the story mixes zombies and aliens.
I fail to see where this has changed at any point since the release. It has always been so.

Look at Grand Theft Auto 4. Best GTA ever. Reviewers are pulling their previous reviews saying the game has no replay value once you beet it.
It is a free roam game. You do what ever yo want. If you can not play a game because the game dose not walk you through a story, you need to spend some time in kinder garden and learn to have an imagination. Plus they are making an expansion pack.

Alone in the Dark is a beautiful game. Brilliant! it is now getting low reviews because you can power play it in 8-12 hours and beat it. Plus they say it has no replay value. It is a free roam game... You can chose not to beat the game in a minute.

I do not understand why these and many more games are now being re-reviewed... And worse yet why has everyone I talked to now begun to listen to reviews?

I have always played what I wanted when I wanted. My brother is the same way. But everyone we have talked to has joined this band wagon...

Why?

I don't have a single game installed, or a console system...I do have a wall of guitars though, and they get played everyday. *shrugs* I guess things change.
